Every new building in the UK requires a certificate when it is constructed and most existing buildings will need one when they are offered for sale or lease from 4th January 2009.
How long is an EPCs valid for?

Do all buildings require an EPCs?
In simple terms the answer is yes. There are a few exemptions including churches, very small detached buildings, and agricultural buildings but generally most commercial buildings require EPCs.
